This app is unbelievable! I am a French teacher, and I couldnt be more impressed! Do keep in mind that youre still asking a machine (not a human being) to translate, so occasionally youve got to work with it. With that caveat, I doubt that you could find a better translator short of having a French person in your pocket. Translations are instantaneous, and the voice is completely natural-sounding, with a perfect French accent.

Helpful tip: to save time hassling with the tiny keyboard, dictate your longer phrases into Dragon Dictation (which will turn your speech into typed text) then copy and paste the resulting text into iSpeak French. My first test translation was, "After breakfast, Im going to town to do some shopping. Then Im going to meet my friend for lunch. I think Ill have froglegs, which I adore." It translated without a hitch, and the spoken French was beautiful! What more could you want!
